The City of Greeley has over 30 parks located within city limits! Amenities range from playgrounds to skate parks and natural open space areas! To help you locate a park near you, please refer to the PARKS MAP.  There you will find detailed information to help you locate and explore your local park system!

Rentals & Reservations

Through a cooperative effort between the Parks Department and the Leisure Services Department we are able to offer park use applications, shelter reservations and some equipment rental for your gatherings. The Greeley Recreation Center accepts applications Monday-Thursday 6am-9pm, Friday 6am-8pm and Saturday 8am-5pm-facility is closed on Sunday.  The Family FunPlex accepts applications Monday-Friday 5am-10pm, Saturday 7am-8pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.

Applications and permits must be submitted at the Recreation Center located at 651 10th Ave or the Family FunPlex 1501 65th Ave. Please note that this is on a first come first served basis and only shelters can be reserved. Shelter reservations are recommended to ensure that park staff can post your event and clean the facility. Park use is on a first come first served basis.

Restroom Availability

Restroom facilities are available on a seasonal basis and will be closed from October 15th through May 1st.  Sanborn, Peakview, Monfort, Farr, Anna Gimmestad and Luther can be made available for PAID rental from March 1st through May 15th.  Anna Gimmestad Park facilities are only made available with a paid shelter reservation at any time of year.

Park Planning

Over the course of the next 20 years the Parks Department will be working diligently to bring 14 new parks online as well as expanding 6 miles of the Sheep Draw Regional Trail System.

Seasonal Jobs

February generally marks the beginning of hiring for positions that run from March through October. Each year a variety of individuals join the regular park staff to assist in keeping the parks looking good.

Our hiring needs correspond nicely with the school calendar and every year we see lots of students who want to work out side and avoid conflicts with their school schedules.

A job with the Parks Department involves customer service, building maintenance, small construction projects, irrigation, irrigation maintenance, mowing, aeration, small and large equipment usage as well as ball field care and maintenance to include dragging, chalking and leveling. Employees will also find themselves preparing for special events and tournaments. Those who are hired will have opportunities to attend safety and equipment workshops.
