Citizens Committee for Community Development

The City of Greeley annually receives two federal grants from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, those being the Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership Program grant. It is the City’s goal to seek the involvement of its residents through a Citizens Committee for Community Development (CCCD), with committee members including representatives of the neighborhoods with the boundaries of the Greeley Urban Renewal Authority (low- moderate-income neighborhoods), the elderly, and the disabled. Members of minority groups and non-English speaking groups are encouraged to be involved in this committee.

The CCCD is the primary public conduit for resident participation in the CDBG and HOME programs. This committee meets quarterly (at a minimum) and advises and makes recommendations to the GURA Board of Commissioners on the CDBG and HOME programs, including identification of housing and community development needs, setting priorities, making recommendations regarding the annual allocation of CDBG funds, and amending Annual Action Plans. CCCD members must be Greeley residents and are appointed by the GURA Board of Commissioners for five-year terms. Applications will be accepted until all vacancies are filled.
