Rocky Mountain Senior Games June 10-14, 2009

Mission Statement: "To improve the quality of life for adults age 50+ by providing athletic competition and social opportunities that promote healthy, active lifestyles."
The Rocky Mountain Senior Games are Colorado's qualifying site for the biennial Summer National Senior Games. The event offers athletic competition and social opportunity to men and women, age 50-plus. Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to participate in over 25 sports which include 87 events and several fun social activities. Age categories begin at 50, and increase in five year increments (for example 50-54, 55-59, etc). Competition is divided into male and female divisions, as well as mixed competition in several doubles events.
The City of Greeley has partnered with the Colorado Senior Sports Development Council (CSSDC) to bring this popular event to the Rocky Mountain region. CSSDC is the governing board of the Rocky Mountain Senior Games and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. CSSDC and the Recreation Division of the City of Greeley Leisure Services Department work together to coordinate the Games. These groups are dedicated to making sure YOUR Games experience is top-notch.
