The mission of the Department of Leisure Services is to provide quality recreational and cultural programs for all age groups through innovation, effectiveness and efficiency.
We are dedicated to providing opportunities to participate in leisurely activities that enrich and enhance the quality of life through recreation, culture, history and youth services.
Leisure Services is comprised of the following divisions

Culture & Public Art Greeley is rich in culture and art and offers the community many options to enjoy both. The Union Colony Civic Center, Tointon Gallery, 1% for Art Program, Sculpture on Loan and Festivals are some examples of what is offered. The Union Colony Civic Center is the premiere performing arts center in Nothern Colorado. Their annual line-up includes Broadway shows, National Touring groups and Musical Entertainment. The UCCC is also home to the Greeley Philharmonic, the UNC Jazz Fest, community & school events and more.
Enjoy festivals and special events offered through the Leisure Services Department including Arts Picnic, Neighborhood Nights, Greeley Lights the Night and the Union Colony Civic Center's Festival of Trees.

Youth Enrichment Greeley Youth Enrichment is a program created to make sure the focus of our city is on the quality of life for youth and families. There are many great ways to get involved to give our youth the opportunity for leadership, encouragement, and to teach them to be proud of their name, heritage, culture, faith, community and country.

Rental Facilities
Rooms are available to rent for meetings, birthday parties and more in many of our facilities including the Family FunPlex, the Ice Haus, the Union Colony Civic Center and many of our museums and other historic sites. To learn more about our rental facilities, please visit the following links:

Advertising Opportunities
The Leisure Services Department offers many opportunities to advertise your company or business.
The Recreation Division has many options for advertising and sponsorships. The Leisure Connection is a detailed program publication printed by the Marketing Division of the Department of Leisure Services. It's one of many ways to advertise your business with us. Whether you want your name on an entire facility, area, room, or simply want to sponsor an event, we have the opportunity to match your promotion plan. The Union Colony Civic Center reaches a cross section of ages, personalities and economic levels that expect just as diverse a selection of entertainment. Businesses have an opportunity to engage these audiences before, during and after shows by advertising in show playbills, or as individual show, series or season sponsors! The Leisure Services Department is host to many Special Events & Festivals. The Greeley Museums hosts Baby Animal Days, History Fest, Trick or Treat Nights, Potato Day, Pets n’ Popsicles and more! Other sponsorship opportunities include the Arts Picnic, the Festival of Trees, Neighborhood Nights, the Free Time Fair & the Fishing Derby. Administrative offices are located at the Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Avenue in Historic Downtown Greeley. You can reach us by calling (970) 350-9406 Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.

Reduced Rate Program
The Reduced Rate Program is available for Greeley residents only and requires proof of residency. This program is income based and offers discounts on various fees. Please call (970) 350-9406 to set up an appointment to apply for the Reduced Rate Program.
Boating Permits
Boating Permits are required for use in City Lakes – please contact (970) 350-9390 for more information or pick up a 2011 permit in person at the Greeley Rec Center (651 10th Avenue), Family FunPlex (1501 65th Avenue) or online. This permit applies to all City of Greeley lakes with the exception to Glenmere Park, Cottonwood Park and Homestead Park on which NO boating is allowed. Please return the completed and signed form to either the Greeley Recreation Center or Family FunPlex.

• NO MOTORIZED CRAFTS ARE ALLOWED ON ANY LAKE • NO CRAFTS OVER 17FT. IN LENGTH • US COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE PRESERVER IS REQUIRED AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR USE OF BELLY BOATS
