Clinics & Lessons - HIGHLAND HILLS ONLY

Junior Instruction:

Spring Lessons Camps:

Whether your junior is just trying out the game or aspires to become a champion, we offer a program designed to help them learn to love the game.

Give your junior an early start with our Junior Jumpstart Programs. We are offering a spring break session of lesson camps from April 1st-4th there will be beginning, intermediate, and advanced sessions. These camps will be one hour per day.

On April 13th, 27th, and May 11th we will offer one-day sessions. This will include four hours of instruction on all phases of the game, and snacks. Following the morning sessions there will be playing opportunities.

Cost for these sessions will be $40 per student

Summer Lesson Camps:

For our summer camps we are offering three levels of instruction for our juniors. The beginning level will be broken into age groups of 5-9, known as pee-wee, and 10-17 known as par. The beginning level is directed towards children who are new to the game or may not be confident in all areas of the game. In this class your child will learn the basic motions of golf. Games and prizes will be used to ensure that your junior learns in a fun environment. There will also be an emphasis on safety and etiquette. Clubs will be provided to students if they need them.

The second level is known as birdie. In this level we work on expanding and refining the motions that were presented in par level courses. In this class we will also spend some time on the course. Clubs will be provided to students if they need them.

The third level is known as eagle. This class is directed towards children who have golf experience and a good knowledge of the rules and etiquette. The majority of class time will be spent on the golf course. All participants must have their own set of clubs.

Each class must meet a minimum enrollment of 4 students but space is limited to 12 students per session so register early!

Competitive Junior Program:

The Competitive Junior Program is designed for junior golfers aged 12-18 who wish to take golf to the next level. This will be a group session where students will have an opportunity to get in-depth instruction, video analysis of their swings, practice routines, and playing strategies to help them develop their skills so that they can achieve their individual goals.

Sessions will be held every Thursday from 11:30 to 1:00 beginning May 30th and continuing until July 25th (except the week of July 4th)

Class size must meet a minimum enrollment of 4 students but will be limited to 20 students so register early!

Junior Golf Club Library:

Buying golf clubs for your junior champ can be difficult because you never know when they’re going to sprout! Let us take that worry away. We’re offering an exciting new program that will allow you to check out junior clubs like books out of a library! These are long-term rentals that allow you to get your junior started out with the equipment they need. The best thing is if your junior grows simply bring in the smaller clubs, pay the difference in fees, and check out a bigger size! It’s that simple.

For fee information or to check out clubs contact Highland Hills Golf Course at 970-330-7327

Play Days:

This year we are proud to join Boomerang Golf Links in offering junior golf play days! Every Thursday morning from June 6th to August 8th we will offer structured play specifically designed for kids.

There will be 2, 4, and 9 hole divisions. Play will be monitored by volunteers to ensure that players have good grasp of the rules, etiquette and pace of play.

We ask that players call at least 24 hours in advance for tee times.

Point Reward Opportunity (PRO):

Beginning this year, members of the Highland Hills Junior Golf Association we will begin a program where juniors will earn points for practicing and playing. Points can be accrued towards pro-shop merchandise, gift cards and other rewards!

Members of the Association will be given a membership card, discounts on driving range balls as well as first pick of classes and tournaments.

Annual membership in the association costs $20 for players without an official handicap and $45 for players who want an official Colorado Golf Association handicap. We recommend all players who look forward to playing in tournaments get an official handicap.
