Neighborhood Building Blocks
NB2 is a team of City representatives assembled to provide a coordinated response to complex issues through the following interdepartmental programs:
Action Alert
NB2's core function is to respond to complex issues requiring the attention of more than one City department or division. Neighbors report problems through the City Clerk's Office and team members are called to action, responding within 48 hours to issues like property maintenance, alleged crime, traffic and neighbor disputes.
For more information or to initiate an alert call the City Clerk's Office at 350-9740 or the Neighborhood Resource Office at 350-9780.
Operation Safe Stay
One way of preventing crime is by targeting locations where criminals often operate: hotels, motels and apartments. Operation Safe Stay takes existing relationships between hotel operators/landlords and police a step further by educating participants on crime prevention strategies and providing marketing support. The Greeley Convention and Visitor’s Bureau endorses the program and lists participating organizations in its marketing materials.

Neighborhood Watch
Greeley's program addresses other issues besides crime, such as property maintenance, traffic and noise. Benefits of participation include crime watch signs, quarterly newsletter, eligibility for small grants, notifications of development projects and special events and the annual Council of Neighborhoods Conference. Close to 300 block captains represent almost 13,000 households.
